Rosallie "Sallie" J. Hess was born on April 8, 1919 in Ford County, Kansas to Rueben and Rosetta (Thompson) Frey. She passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at the Hamilton County Hospital in Syracuse, Kansas at the age of 93.
Sallie is preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Mavis (Carroll) Powell, Melva (Bob) Goddard, and Nancy Bronson; and three brothers, Alva Frey, Clifford Frey, and Chester Frey.
She is survived by her husband, Lonnie Hess of Holly, Colorado; two sons, Charles Cobb of Coolidge, KS, Hubert Cobb of Penrose, CO; daughter, Carolyn Jackson of Coolidge, KS; two brothers, John (Mary) Conley, and Bill (Dorothy) Frey of Holly, CO; four sisters, Jean (George) Thrasher of Show Low, AZ, Joan (Dick) Taulman of Lamar, CO, Ruby (Vernon) Appel of Shamrock, TX, Ruth (Don) Lane of Colorado Springs, CO; two sisters-in-law, Norma Frey of Garden City, KS, and Welda Frey of Dodge City, KS; brother-in-law, Craig Bronson of Sheridan Lake, CO; and by 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends.
