Herbert Hollister Whiting was born on March 29, 1917 to Herbert Sr. and Josephine (Bradshaw) Whiting in Sanford, Maine. He passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at his home in Lamar.
Mr. Whiting was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Honoria "Marie" Whiting in 2008; and seven brothers and sisters.
Herbert is survived by two children, Pauline Opprecht and husband Neil of Seattle, WA and Ron Whiting and wife Randi Skiles of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA; sister, Avis Roy of South Gale, MI; brother, Milton Whiting and wife Dorothy of Whistler, MA.; six grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
