Everett Kent Childers, 82 of Las Animas, Colorado passed away June 20, 2013 at Sangre de Cristo Hospice in Pueblo, Colorado. He was born in Denver, Colorado on August 20, 1930 to Daniel and Inez (Reed) Childers.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nellie (McCullough) Childers of Las Animas; children, Christine Martinez and husband, Freddy of Las Animas, CO, Darrell Childers and wife, Connie of Alamosa, CO, and Thomas Childers of Las Animas, CO; grandchildren, Garrett Stephens, Aaron Childers, Alyssa Martinez, and Anthony Martinez; one great grandchild, Diego Stephens; brother, Norman Childers of Las Animas; sisters, Bertha Sorley and husband, Guy of La Junta, and Lenora Litle of Roseburg, OR; many other relatives and a host of friends.
Everett was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bill Childers; and sister, Margaret Bates.
